Mens A field at the start of the 2010 Holderness Road Race

NERCL TEAM REGISTRATION

The 2013 league registration page is on bikereg.com. Team head coaches should click the following link to register their team and pay their league dues for the season:

The league dues satisfy the costs of the awards trophies as well as the timing services of Pioneer Event Services for the four Wednesday races.

***PLEASE NOTE, ONLY SCHOOL TEAMS MAY REGISTER, NOT INDIVIDUAL RIDERS***

The NERCL is open to school team registrants only, meaning all riders must take part under a school racing team competing under the guidance of an adult coach (who can be a parent of a rider). Any secondary school, whether public or private, is welcome to register for league competition by using this page. The head coach of the team (or parent) should enter his or her contact information as part of the registration process.

PLEASE NOTE THAT LEAGUE DUES MUST BE PAID BEFORE A TEAM WILL BE ALLOWED TO RACE (this is to prevent racers from showing up without coaches and racing without supervision)

Holderness weather conditions

From John Teaford:

Hello coaches

Holderness is preparing for tomorrow's race, and we thought we'd communicate our intentions in the event of poor weather.

Though the forecast is for rain (70% chance), at this time there is no reason to consider cancelling or postponing the race. If rain is falling at race time, we will race.

While the day is likely to be rainy, the forecast does not predict high winds, nor is there a high likelihood of thunderstorms. The race course is quite straight, so there is little worry about slippery corners. If conditions change to a point where racers are threatened with lightning and/or high winds, we are willing to postpone or cancel the race at the last minute. Obviously, we hope that won't happen.

We expect temperatures in the 40's, so all riders (and spectators) are advised to dress warmly. Bring extra layers for after the race.

If it is rainy and cold at the finish, we will not ask teams to remain in the area for presentation of awards (awards will be presented after the Gould race, if conditions allow).

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
